This week we take another journey into the world of Andrew Cauthen’s unique soundscapes and audio paintings. Andrew is a free spirit, creating music that is rhythmic and bears marks of ambience, electronica and experimentalism.
The first of a series of shows which showcase the guitar in many different styles and genres of music: jazz, blues, rock, and ambient just to name a few.
After a lot of challenging music in the last two shows, I just wanted to sit back and listen to a bunch of electronica. Some of it funny, some with twists that seem extremely natural to the artists.
When Charles Goff uploaded the back catalog of Taped Rugs Productions to the Internet Archive, I was excited to showcase this underground home tape label.
