During the process of adding the notes for these episodes to the archive, I was unable to locate any notes for the June 30th episode.
I've been listening to the show, but given that it's been thirteen years since I heard it, I cannot recall the titles or artists for any of these tracks. If anyone listens to this episode and can identify the tracks, please reach out to me on GotoSocial (linked below). Any help is appreciated.

I have a habit of gathering a lot of obscure music from netlabels. And this week highlights those releases.

Intersections In Four

Notes:
This week’s show takes a slightly different format. As I was working my way through the back catalog of music, I found that I had a number of tracks from EP’s that were just waiting to be played. In particular, one EP was an ambient work from Abyssal Plains, and another a more Trip-Hop Jazz fusion oriented work.
While stylistically the works are very different, I found that they shared a common element: the number four.
In the first half of the show, we are going to hear the “Fourth Quadrant of the Mandala” by Abyssal Plains. The mandala comes from the Buddhist and Hindu belief systems. They are frequently used for meditation and as a spiritual teaching tool.
In the second half of the show, we are going to hear “The Hard Changing of the Seasons” by Zero V. This work builds on many of the past jazz masters to present a different way of looking at the changing of the seasons.

I’ve been compiling a lot of music to play on the CerebralMix, and I am preparing to start working with some more thematic material again. However, in the meantime this week I just went through the backlog of stuff that I’ve accumulated over the last several months to put together a set of music that is funky, rocks, and grooves.

Closing Notes
Special thanks go out to Amy for turning me on to Triplexity.
Next weekend is the Ohio Linux Festival, but that doesn’t mean that the Cerebral Mix will be taking a break. Instead, the show must go on, and things are already in place for Episodes 16 & 17.
That’s all for this week. I hope you will join me again next week for another adventure into the sounds between thoughts on The Cerebral Mix.

This week's episode is something of a surprise: a special request.
With the upcoming Ohio Linux Festival the second weekend in September, one of the OggCastPlanet members asked if I could put together an episode of the CerebralMix to help him fall asleep at night.
When I tried to inquire further about what kind of music he wanted for such an episode he responded: “surprise me.”
So, here's the surprise: an episode of the CerebralMix that reaches out in all sorts of directions from abstract dark ambient, to classical, to jazz and many genres in between…all while being softer and more relaxing for sleeping, and perchance, for dreaming…
